I live in Holland, the trick and treating never really happens here, but its starting to come, I dont mind that im to old, its still fun giving little kids some candy and watch their smile, even though you know they still hate you and only want the candy

I work at my church for our "Harvest Festival." You name the candy and I can assure you that we give it out... and soda.

best candy are recess for halloween, i remember this old lady a couple streets over would give out king size candy bars and me and my friends when we were young would go there like 5 times during the night

Yes we laughed then too. Then again we also got real sized candy bars. Not today's real size...but Yesteryear's Real Size. They also cost 5-10 cents apiece then too. I miss the original Snickers, Three Musketeer's, Almond Joy's. They were made with real sugar, not High Frutose Cornsyrup. Tasted much better.

i miss real candy too..... when i was your age....we had real candy sugar and fat....we walked 10 miles to the next house....barefoot....we had to make our costumes out of burlap bags and shoeboxes.....and we LIKED IT.....i was a ghost 4 yrs straight....back then you had to use your imagination not like today with your tv and new fangled dvd players

HaHa..Funny. But it was true. Food was more pure then today. Meat,Veggies,Candy,Pop(soda pop to you outside of the midwest) was cleaner more healthy.

You reminded me of the third grade. I had no costume and it was getting close to Halloween. I also need one for the Third Grade school party. So instead of using the same old hand-me-downs from my brother my Mom set me up in my Sister's old Fairly Princess out-fit. I remember my Mom chuckling while "dolling me up". Make-up and everything. Wig...the works. No one in the Class knew who I was. We all knew each other since Kindergarden and they were all fooled....until they saw my shoes. The charade was over then.

a brother of mine went as a woman for halloween....i have a pic of him in it i am saving until he gets married....or becomes an important leader of a company....then i will either give it to his wife, or release it to the press and buy the stock after the fall

If you're younger then 20 i'm not believing anything you say. "Back then everything was this and that..."

Candy and pop was bad for you then, candy and pop is bad for you today.
